Timber Frame Floor Plans

Here is the second draft of the floor plans for our timber frame home being built in Maine this summer. The home was designed using sacred geometry to define the building proportions, including the scale of massing elements, room layout, height and width, even the door layout and size.

The open floor plan layout on the first floor will be wonderful for entertaining guests. A screened porch off the dining room is perfect for summer dining and enjoying the beautiful scenery surrounding the property.

The basement level has plenty of storage, including a separate large cold storage room for root crops grown on the property. The cold storage is insulated by the ground. When winter temperatures arrive, the cold storage area will stay cold but not freeze.

The Master Bedroom features a large walk-in closet and access to a private deck. Occasional guests will share the Master Bathroom - or use the first-floor bathroom, whichever is more convenient. Gable end windows provide plenty of light in the great room and make the loft area the perfect spot for reading and enjoying the view of the property.
