One of our current projects is a timber frame home addition to a post and beam home. The existing home is a contemporary style post and beam home built in the 1980’s. The new home addition will consist of a timber frame great room, a workshop, and a new garage.
While the addition will provide added living and entertaining space for our clients, the existing kitchen and dining area will be expanded to utilize the current living room space, creating a much larger kitchen for this couple who enjoy cooking together.
The timber frame addition & modifications are shaded brown
The home design also includes the remodeling of the existing two bathrooms. The first floor Master Bathroom will include replacing a Japanese soaking tub, updating the shower unit and vanity, and swapping the sink and toilet locations. The Jacuzzi bump out will be expanded to the second floor, which will increase the upstairs guest bathroom floor space. A new tub / shower will be located in the bump out on the second floor, and the vanity and toilet replaced.
Floor plans will be posted in an upcoming blog.
